I've been working on Monument Valley 3 as an artist and animator for the past 3 years and its just come to an end. These are some of the screens that I'm really proud of. Our team did such an amazing job on this game and I constantly feel lucky to be able to be a part of it.

Maybe this is why I like stealth games because they usually are forced to have a premise that is about a character being out of place/under threat in some way. I really think so many games could be improved with a narrative premise beyond “following orders”

Videogames are weird because so many of them are about someone who is where they supposed to be, doing the thing they are supposed to be doing (because someone told them to) and succeeding at it.

I don't know why the idea of developing concept art with AI is somehow meant to convince us that AI isn't replacing creative professions, when concept art is one of the single most creative and imaginative parts of the entire development process.

So, my contract on Aphelion ended after two years and I’ve been enjoying some time off 😴. I won’t be accepting job offers in the coming months, since I’ve been selected for a 6 months training course on collaborative, tv series writing, starting in January! 🤗 Really happy about this, exciting news!
