So when thousands of women (and children) were being duplicated--including in non-consensual AI porn--it was no big deal. But it took "only a 15-sec clip" of these two famous white men to draw outrage and fear. Gotcha. Cool cool.
It took only a 15-second clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt duking it out on a crumbling rooftop — made by A.I. with a two-sentence prompt and the click of a button — to draw swift outrage, and sizable fear, from Hollywood.

"It’s nothing short of terrifying," one scriptwriter said.
Why an A.I. Video of Tom Cruise Battling Brad Pitt Spooked Hollywood
A 15-second clip created by an artificial intelligence tool owned by the Chinese technology company ByteDance appears more cinematic than anything so far.

This video from Wyze is worth a watch. Nicely done!

Fuck Ring and fuck anything Amazon owns.
Definitely only for dogs; just trust us. Wink, wink....

I have never considered Ring products because of their long history of privacy abuse and being owned by Amazon. I do have several Wyze cams, including my bird feeder cam.

In case you were looking for nearly 4k words on why Joseph Gordon-Levitt got Section 230 exactly backwards, I got you covered.

Also, if anyone knows him, please share. I hope we can get him on the right track with this stuff.

Ok I'll bet the other side. This is snake oil that Americans are gonna have to bail out in the next year. And if I'm right then I get to host Chris's show for a week.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

I can’t decide whether it’s funny or just very sad that bands have to play venues with names “The Smoothie King Arena.”

Jesus Fucking Christ.

I’ll never forgive the Rose Garden Arena in Portland for selling the fuck out. Is it too late to choose another timeline?

BREAKING: On February 2, Sec. Noem issued a memo asserting the lapse in appropriations for DHS meant there is no Sec. 527 — the provision protecting congressional oversight visits to immigration detention facilities — and she was issuing a new (third) policy requiring seven-day notice for visits.

Cmon now guys. If any Dem says anything besides shut down until this is all gone then there's no need for federal government at all. These are concentration camps. If you're too scared to say so then you're part of the problem.
In the last month ICE has bought warehouses in:

- Hagerstown, MD: $102 million
- Surprise, AZ: $70 million
- Hamburg, PA: $87 million
- Tremont, PA: $120 million
- San Antonio, TX: $82 million
- El Paso, TX: $123 million
- Social Circle, GA: price unknown

This is unprecedented.

That’s the current plan.

What the hell is Trent Reznor wearing onstage at the New Orleans NIN show earlier tonight?

Looks like he’s teasing a role in the next Star Wars movie taking place on a desert planet.

I finally watched the new Naked Gun. I knew I was going to love it but damn. I cannot remember a time when my wife and I have laughed out loud so much.

Best movie of the past five years? Sure. Goddamn.

And can somebody please get Weird Al a Nobel Peace Prize or something for his role?

I know there are many more important things happening out there at the moment, but I can confirm that the new episode of The Muppet Show is wonderful.

If you have a half hour free and want some entertainment, I highly recommend it.

I’d love to see this come back for a few episodes a year.
