2025 was rough, but it was also the year my wife and I bought acres of absolute perfection in a pretty rural and magical part of Washington state.
We’ve been hard at work on the home here since last April and it’s coming along nicely. I haven’t even had a chance to properly explore our bog.

It’s been a pretty wild past week here in western Washington. I just spent some time on top of our chicken coop that’s still under construction.
Wake up at 2 am and check the cameras to find one of the 30’ x 20’ tarps I’ve got covering the area has blown completely off to one side of the run.

A 12 amp hour DeWalt battery lasts 40 minutes on their cordless heat gun set on high. I even shut it off before it stopped cranking out hot air. Damn impressive.
