2025 was rough, but it was also the year my wife and I bought acres of absolute perfection in a pretty rural and magical part of Washington state.
We’ve been hard at work on the home here since last April and it’s coming along nicely. I haven’t even had a chance to properly explore our bog.

Next door neighbor had several chicken disappear in the past two weeks, including their rooster. Sadness.
Tonight I made a 330 foot Ethernet cable, attached one end to a router in our chicken coop and ran the other end down the path to the nearest pond on our property. I refer to it as The Lake.
