And of course I visited my flock of five chickens. They’re all perfectly okay in their small temporary coop which is currently in the center of their run.
The final build of this coop and run is going to be one of the coolest things I’ve done and I can’t wait to actually show it off.

So I had to get up on top in the dark, pull this tarp back up and over, all while the wind gusts go from inconvenient to holy fuck wind is allowed to do that speed here?

Barely clothed, I get out there and clean up the boards that blew over. The big ladder got tossed down to the ground by the wind. I’m sure the poor chickens were terrified by the noise.
But all is well aside from the tarp no longer protecting the exposed coop many tools.

To be clear, I fucking hate it. It’s useful. And arguably life saving. But for the love of god, I’d be so fucking happy to go a single day not constantly having to worry about and be reminded of living with this condition. The one that will inevitably cause my death.
