Dominic Cummings was always an absolute arsehole.

The Conservative right loves to talk up imagined genius among their ranks when in truth there's nothing there but attitude, flex, and pose. Mogg, Johnson, Gove, Cummings. All tiresome little nobodies trotting out rehashed nonsense. Often nasty.
It’s against the DfE guidance for head teachers and governors. Our local community school had similar sanctions but they appear to have been dropped following a meeting with the LA assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/65ce37...

Age restrictions on social media for over 50s.
A friend told me that her American dad got in touch to talk about some news he'd seen on Facebook: there are riots in England over DEI, and the King dramatically burst into parliament to tell Starmer off, and then Prince William did the same to Sadiq Khan. AI really is inventing bold new universes

One of the aphorisms that's been going around resonates with me:
“The underlying purpose of #AI is to allow wealth to access skill while removing from the skilled the ability to access wealth.” ~ need to remember the author. 😖

They don’t to pay or work for expertise anymore!

We all need to channel this Chicago man’s utter contempt
Here's a short video of an Edison Park man confronting border patrol. You can hear others in the background. #chicago

The iron law of software: the more helpful improvements a bod in a T-shirt in California comes up with for something that already works fine, the worse it gets.

So much winning...

"Brexit is one of the main factors in our decision to potentially move our headquarters beyond the UK. The benefits of a European head office include lower operational costs, EU single market access and recruitment flexibility of a multilingual talent pool."
Brexit sees another international institution abandon Britain for Europe

When a chatbot gets something wrong, it’s not because it made an error. It’s because on that roll of the dice, it happened to string together a group of words that, when read by a human, represents something false. But it was working entirely as designed. It was supposed to make a sentence & it did.

I cannot tell you how many tech journalists at prominent media organizations do not understand this
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

This is located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, close to Fullerton and Sheffield. It's a densely populated area near DePaul University. I'm pleased to see the community standing up against these despicable individuals.

Great stuff
Telegraph: Lucy Powell saying “Because let’s be honest, we’ve let Farage and his ilk run away with it. He wants to blame immigration for all the country’s problems. We reject that” is a *direct repudiation* of Starmer on immigration.

That's racism. Plain and simple.

No other word for it.

It's shocking beyond belief that this sort of thing is somehow acceptable.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀
ChatGPT is next to useless in legal research. It knows the basics of legislation but that’s about it. It can’t reliably apply the law to new facts, misses key precedents, and misinterprets documents. It does however appear to have an impressive sales team and some gullible clients.

That scene of the Welsh BBC correspondent being the only person interviewing Caerphilly's new Plaid AM while the rest of the media interviewed Reform's loser in the background was far too on the nose.

I committed the grave crime when I was younger to claim child benefit for our son when I was eligible to do so. Just waiting for Katie Lam to extend these proposals to people with settled status so that she can send Kemi's British ICE to my house and arrest me for doing what was legal at the time.

I voted to remain.

I never respected the decision of a 52/48 advisory referendum with Russian interference, but then that's just me.
Left: Labour's Rosie Wrighting, "I voted to remain, I respect the decision of the vote.. Shouldn't reverse Brexit as its a decision made by the public"

Right: The public have recognised Brexit was a mistake, so why is Labour living in the past?
I don’t think spouses of EU citizens are exempt from EES. But 90/180 doesn’t apply and neither will ETIAS.
