On 10/6 I saw the Dandy Warhols at the Bellwether. I'm an old fan, loved these guys years ago. The show was a little off - basically no movement on stage, forgot a verse and had to repeat a song, and skipped my favorite song (Last Junkie) even after talking about it. Oh well, still fun enough.

On 10/6 I saw the Dandy Warhols at the Bellwether. I'm an old fan, loved these guys years ago. The show was a little off - basically no movement on stage, forgot a verse and had to repeat a song, and skipped my favorite song (Last Junkie) even after talking about it. Oh well, still fun enough.
On 10/5 I saw one of my favorite acts, Improv Shakespeare, who tonight performed "Henry 3000." I was expecting some sort of far-future Henry lineage, but instead it was all Outkast puns - classic. Must admit I was not impressed with the Largo at the Coronet venue. But still a fantastic time.

In early Oct I got to rewatch the original Spider-Man trilogy in theaters. Front row seats and usually alone. They even showed Spider-Man 2.1. As a big fan who saw them all when they first came out, this was super exciting to me. (Though the Regal Paseo in Pasadena must be the worst theater in LA.)

On 9/28 I attended the Cortège. This was an event unlike anything I have ever seen before. A mythologized funeral procession and celebration of life, with creatures, robots, drones, giants, and more. All through headphones.

In September, I also went to BrightonSEO in San Diego. Most of the talks seemed basic compared to the last couple years; mostly "Intro to AI," but it was nice to know I'm apparently ahead of the industry on this stuff. There were still a few great talks too, and other smart attendee gossip! #seo

On 9/20 in WI, I saw the Folliez, our annual local talent show. Some years have been... mixed... but this year was actually quite good! A couple small disasters but nothing major, and lots of acts that were even, dare I say, enjoyable. My parents and I had another lovely night at the #theater !

On 9/19 back in WI, I saw Cheeseheads: The Musical with my mom and dad. And boy it sure was something! I was thankfully not chosen for the crowdwork exorcism to praise Cheesus. Lots of enjoyable local charm, definitely couldn't be shown in any other state. We had a great time. #theater #wisconsin
