I really feel like there was a good movie buried in here somewhere, beneath the family side plot and final twist which both felt utterly pointless.

For those worried about too many cutscenes/voiced character dialog in a Metroid game, go back and play Prime 3 (like I just did). It's shocking that every 10 mins you're talking with someone or getting radio calls. Not sure why IGN and other outlets seemed to just forget that?

Arrakis, a desert, planet, can you believe it? Some people call it Dune, I call it Arrakis. The SPICE must flow, and quite frankly, it will be flowing much faster than under the failed DUKE LETO. Maybe he was a nice guy, maybe not,I think he was jealous of me! We're looking into that very strongly.
