Since early 2024 the price of gold has been going through the roof - China in particular is buying up huge amounts, one of many countries are that looks to be moving off the US Dollar standard. It is a solid testament to the global lack of confidence in the US economy.

I'm glad they are targeting empty tankers but this reminds me of the book "Ministry for the future" where drone and other attacks against the elite's assets (planes and ships) are used very effectively to persuade them to change their policies.
The only drug dealers Trump wants to kill are the ones who won't give him his cut. And he pulls off this extortion in plain sight of his faithful as they sing his praises for being tough on crime.

It's crazy that in the US alone as of 2023 we spent $72B on GLP-1 drugs for weightloss when we have the of millions going to bed hungry each night. And globally? Surely enough to ensure no one is starving to death...

I wonder if Jacob ever gets direct feedback from the hotels he dishes the dirt on (in this case quite literally). This review has put me right off Aria and if I was working for them I'd be looking to respond to it immediately. But let's face it most Las Vegas hotels just don't care.
