And yes, you're right although at some point I think it was hard for anyone to gather numbers on how many were dead or injured. Per capita Gaza lost at least double those killed in Iraqi and three times the US COVID deaths.

Having occasionally had to ride in a Tesla I can say I hate the door handles and I'm not surprised to hear they have caused many problems including deaths. Imagine being so obsessed with form that you'll accept people dying because of it? That thinking is why the CyberTruck is banned in the UK.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised given how even programs like H1B are abused and messing with them is often a means to bully tech companies that rely on them.

Meanwhile you always have to ask - is a society that cannot exist without exploiting low paid overseas workers really that great?
