People unfollow me all the time. It is because I have No Business posting on this website, and shouldn't be here. This website is like if you took only journalists who had 1500+ followers on the twitter and made a convention for them. And then invited people like me in, for some reason.

Reminder that Violent J of Insane Clown Posse has the correct response to a lot of the shitty things he said in the early days.
It's my mom's 65th birthday and she's a big Jays fan and she is crying right now!!
Two of Canada's best publishers (maybe THE best?!) are joining forces. What a team up! I'm so excited to see what they can each accomplish with the support of the other. Alayna and Leigh are a dream power team 💫
Nothing like a Monday morning hard launch: Assembly Press and Brick Books are delighted to share the news that we are merging operations.

More details on our website!

Albert Camus famously said that the literal meaning of life is whatever prevents you from killing yourself and in my research I have found that to be true lol
Maybe they'll give him a new title, like Bad. Just Bad Andrew. That's his name now.

cop in The Wicker Man (leaving unharmed because he slept with that hot blonde): what a strange, sexy island
I used to know Dave Brubeck's son (anyone at York music also knows him) who told me Dave lived next to Ace Frehley in CT. And one time Ace lost a car in a pond, then tried to tow it out with another, and lost that one too. Imagine Dave Brubeck watching you do that. RIP to two icons lol
Sure we've had such bad luck with moving that Peter's uncle asked if we were cursed. However. I just had to buy new dressers and they went on sale the day I decided to purchase them. So who's cursed now? Huh?

forever grateful to see my unholy child in the best of company
it’s spooky book season
Don't take for granted the bookstores in your lives that keep up to date with D&Q's catalogue 🥺 I miss Bookmark so much. I want a copy of Cannon by Lee Lai so bad but I have to go all the way to Toronto to get it! (Or I'll special order, but it's more fun to buy off the shelf)
2025 was a big year for D&Q–not that it’s over yet, but you can hardly take us to task for reminding you about all the great books we’ve already had the pleasure of getting on the shelves. Read all about it here: drawnandquarterly.com/news/for-you...
It's so delightful when a gen Z shows up who I know I would have been friends with in high school lol
There is a new 18 year old jeopardy champ and I love her 🥺
Loving Titans S2 so much already 😌
Sometimes even your Queens of Darkness need a second take! Episode two of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans S2 is available now on Shudder and AMC+! #drag #horror #Dragula
I think I need to start my newsletter up again, this website ain't doing it for me
And... It's not like being a married suburban mother means you act a certain way? There was a certain expectation to be almost a homemaker, which is so odd? Was this a secret homesteader / tradwife cult? I honestly don't know. But it felt like it.
In fact, I kind of stopped going to one of these spaces because every single person I talked to was a married suburban mother. It started to stress me out because they all asked me if I had kids or if I was planning to? And had I said, "I'm not that kinda cis lady," I bet they would have been weird.
Especially odd when I consider that the most talented garment makers I know are genderqueer and that's a huge part of their gender expression... So why aren't there more inclusive spaces for sewing? I'm a cis lady and I would feel way more comfortable in an inclusive space.
Want to vent about a little thing that bothers me but it's so niche. Again this website is not the home for my venting. Nobody likes that. Anyway the thing I am griping on today is the fact that most fabric stores seem to be for a specific demographic: cishet mothers to young children. It's odd.
