U.S. envoys are appointed through the State Department, answer to the Secretary of State, and typically require Senate confirmation. Governors do not get reassigned like spare chess knights, and national security policy is not conducted via congratulatory press blurbs written in all caps.

The real takeaway here isn’t about Greenland, allies, or world safety. It’s about the continuing performance art of pretending that seriousness can be conjured by adjectives alone GREAT, STRONGLY, SURVIVAL OF THE WORLD while bypassing the actual machinery of government.
