Just got a call from someone polling for Frey (almost positive). Asking for ranking of candidates. As well as approval of Council and Frey.

The person on the other end had a good chuckle at my “-1000” response to “1-10 whats your approval of Frey” question.

His hour long infomercial, paid for by undisclosed business interests, dumping all over Mayor Frey's enemies, with subjects who participated because they were told it would help the mayor, should not be interpreted as an attempt to influence next month's city election.

Minneapolis deserves a champion for working people.

Since then it’s been full “the socialists want to defund the police” screeching anytime someone wants to do anything remotely different around public safety. From Frey’s PACs to Strib. It’s been the narrative pushed to longtime liberals who truly believe they’re doing the work to inform themselves.

It’s really hard because. In my experience. When you try and approach Frey supporters and have a good faith discussion on these issues. Even if you bring facts and sources. They just don’t care. Because they just believe whatever they read in the latest All of Mpls email.
