Damn, VS Code used to have such cool updates, with new options, new cool integrations, more customisability, performances improvements…

Now each month’s update is a depressing sludge of AI-related features and UI elements that I promptly disable and/or hide.

I should note that it does not need to be AI or robots to be automated, as long as it’s working autonomously and obediently without ever needing to care for it.

Obedient workers manipulated by hatred generated by bots is a form of automation.

Mon programme ne marche plus depuis ce week-end parce que j’ai oublié de rajouter des zéros, donc il décale ses dates de 2h 🫠

En JavaScript, si tu crées un objet date à partir d’une date au format international (YYYY-MM-DD), ça te donne un point dans le temps à minuit, heure internationale (UTC).

Mais si un des composants est mal formaté (“3” au lieu de “03”, par exemple), ça sera minuit heure *locale*.

C’est simple 🫠

Oh techbros don’t really see the work as fun, or needing to be. They only see content and engagement.

Where you see something that was crafted, the fun the person had making it, the skill and love put into it, they see the numbers, and they think people will want a tool to get those numbers faster.
