None of the billionaires now colluding in or actively gutting the NSF and the scientific research bodies of the USA could have made their immense fortunes without the taxpayer funded scientific research and its support infrastructure between 30& 50 years ago in the USA and elsewhere.

Dear Prime Minister: in light of Trump’s disgraceful bullying of Zelensky today, can you please, please, please cancel the State Visit? A boor like Trump does NOT deserve to be honored by the British state.
Dear Prime Minister, during your visit to the US today, please, please, please, please do NOT invite DJT for yet another State Visit to the UK, or try to woo him with honorary Knighthood.

Dear the Media,

When something bad happens in an area under the executive branch's purview, and the White House goes "uh... a Black or gay person must've done it," you do not need to accept that. You're allowed to follow up in pursuit of the factual reason, not the bigoted excuse.

Love,
The public

“How will an ambulance get through?”

A question only asked of those trying to save our planet, not millionaire landowners trying to hoard wealth.

Farmers received record support in the budget. Pay what is still less than your fair share, take your tractors and piss off.

Remember all the outraged coverage about a handful of climate protesters slowing ambulances a few years back?

Well it turns out that wealthy farmers doing exactly the same thing on a much bigger scale is absolutely fine

Contrast how climate protests and activists are policed with the way farmers who far more effectively disrupt traffic and infrastructure are policed. Those backing arrest and imprisonment for climate activists even back the action and methods of farming protests! Two tier justice!

-Human caused climate change is real
-Vaccines work
-Lower speed limits (eg 20mph) save lives & reduce no. of RTAs saving £
-Functioning democracies need an informed (not mis-informed) electorate
-GDP no longer a useful measure-we need to account for externalities

Scientists are clear that UK’s carbon capture plans are disastrous for climate.

They centre around building 𝗻𝗲𝘄 gas power stations & blue hydrogen plants—and are all about extending the life of the North Sea.

On Twitter I often encounter climate change deniers who claim scientists are corrupt, or are coerced by grants to follow “the narrative”. I often respond with a series of questions designed to show the implausibility of such a conspiracy. I have yet to see coherent answers.
