The pup likes the part of Thanksgiving where we take a break while things cook

Some turkeys at Harvard (no joke) and a way to see Thanksgiving as a holiday to welcome immigrants. (Even if the original immigrants slaughtered their hosts. )

Between tearing babies from their parents' arms and traumatizing countless children, abandoning climate action and environmental protection, and loosing RFK on public health, the Trump Administration is engaging in quite a bit of child sacrifice. To their right-mania goals.
Vance loves to deploy fabricated racist fearmongering. First Haitians are eating the pets, now Indigenous people sacrificed children?! Sheesh.

It’s understandable when corrupt authoritarians who market themselves as “fighters against corruption” try to silence their critics. It’s less understandable when journalistic outlets like the BBC cave to such authoritarian tactics.
In case you missed this, the BBC edited a historian's speech about Trump to remove the claim that he's "the most openly corrupt president in US history." This came after Trump had threatened a $1 billion lawsuit.

Elite capitulation continues.

Read all about it here:

Trump Angrily Threatened to Sue BBC. Then Things Took a Darker Turn.
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

To combat bird flu spread, other countries have authorized poultry vaccines. The U.S. hasn’t, amid political and economic pushback.

Without a vaccine, experts say the virus poses an escalating threat: “The minute it transmits to humans, it’s done.”

What the U.S. Government Is Dismissing That Could Seed a Bird Flu Pandemic
Egg producers suspect bird flu is traveling through the air. After a disastrous Midwestern outbreak early this year, we tested that theory and found that where the wind blew, the virus followed. Vacci...

So we are currently at multiple threatened military operations, attorneys being rejected for improper appointments, suburbanites chasing the armed agents of the state cursing their names, a two vote margin in the house, and consumer sentiment worse than 2008/2009. It’s been less than a year.

6 people have died from a nationwide listeria outbreak.

31 babies have been hospitalized with botulism from contaminated baby formula.

Instead of firing crucial FDA employees & attacking the agency, Trump should be hiring more experts to crack down on these dangerous outbreaks.

Try to imagine Democrats lecturing middle Americans on public behavior. Fox News would be out of its mind about elite condescension.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

Jeez. Trump reposted a call to execute six Democratic members of Congress, and it’s not on the front page of the NY Times, and this is the headline—no mention of hanging lawmakers.
