If you’re going to speak on book v. movie, you can’t repeatedly say, “Well, I didn’t read the book but…” Read the book! Then speak! Sincerely, English professor yelling at podcasts on the way to work.

This is a big deal. Still lots of work to do, but it matters that the court has recognized that HB900 is utterly, finally, indisputably unconstitutional. Now we just need to get Texans and lawmakers to stop listening to the people who pushed this dumb law.

I just finished this book and found it quite interesting. It gave me a sharp perspective on familiar movies, and only once or twice did I feel she was stretching the analogy a bit thin. Very accessible for the layman; recommend watching the movies before reading the chapters as spoilers abound.
