I went to this workshop yesterday, which was brilliantly facilitated. My humble opinion is that workshops like this are sorely needed in #Eastbourne area, so if anybody would like to work with me on organising to make them more available locally, please message me.
Yesterday one of our partners, Energise Sussex Coast, ran a fab workshop in #Eastbourne based on The Work That Reconnects Network, to help develop inner resilience to crises like #ClimateBreakdown. Would anybody else locally wish to attend a repeat of this workshop or learn more about the network?

A huge 89% majority of global people [56% even in the United States] want stronger action to fight the #ClimateCrisis, but mistakenly believe they’re in a minority.

People want action. Smart cities are taking action. Nations should support city action.

We're not doing a very good job of reducing CO₂ emissions from burning fossil fuels, but maybe we can do something about other greenhouse gases like CH₄ from leaky gas wells and pipes, belching cows, and rotting organic matter, N₂O from agriculture, and HFCs from refrigeration.

Great report on a huge problem for #Eastbourne: a dysfunctional & chronically underinvested wastewater treatment works. The recent massive spill of millions of toxic bio-beads from the plant is the worst single pollution incident so far, seriously contaminating local waters, beaches, & wildlife.

Interesting that amongst concerns raised was the desire for better connected #walking & #cycling paths, & reducing traffic speeds, issues which we've campaigned on for many years now, and still do. #Eastbourne is far too dependent upon cars for getting around. Damages both #environment & #wellbeing.
