Cool news of the day: my older brother and his band were nominated for two Grammys (modern classical music categories) and are going to the ceremony!

This will be the only time in my life I am interested in the Grammys.

A baozi (steamed bun) the size of a baseball held in a person's hand in front of a messy kitchen. The same bun, cut open to reveal the delicious pork inside. Buns pre-steaming - for real, they doubled in size. It was crazy.

I present to you - things I made at the end of the year that weren't polymer clay!

A ceramic spoon rest - his name is Henri, and he has a little lily-pad shaped green beret. Henri is not very good at his job. His tongue keeps pushing the spoon out on the counter.
A ceramic toad with brown skin and yellow eyes. He is entirely head, with a wide open mouth. A dirty spatula is resting partly in his mouth, but it appears to be falling out.
