I'm a tech writer on a team of four, and the team manager and the other senior writer are the only ones who use it. I have to edit their work much more heavily than the junior writers'. It's embarrassing for them, truly. And for me and the company, as they both have higher salaries than me

You know, am completely useless overall and things haven't been getting much better. I have been on sick leave since January by now (but with issues starting long before)

so goodbye I guess. Going to pause social media activity with apps uninstalled for the usual suspects

How many folks do I know (or 2nd/3rd degree away) that are:

* In Berlin
* Into electronics
* Maaaaybe into Rust

I've always thought it would be cool to do some kind of thing with long range radio stuff, think street pass but with Lora, but never knew if I could find enough folks to make it fun

As it happened again I have a fun fact to share:

The PDF reader in the Office app on Android has built-in ads.

Even if you have an @Microsoft 365 subscription, ads *do* sometimes show up.

That's utterly insane. That particular ad I got was powered by Taboola under the hood.

Imagine if Google starts banning individual users for using ad blockers on YouTube. As in banning their Google account outright for violation of ToS, including Gmail.

TIL that there's a D3D12 implementation with only SM5.1 in the wild
Parallels _does_ implement D3D12 for Windows VMs. But it's FL11_1 with SM5.1

mean to not put a codename in there. apple embarked on a quest to deliberately remove cpu codenames from all their sw lol since a while
it's a bit mean but... well played. that crackdown has been quite successful imo
