@theguardian.com If you're not already, I would definitely have your journalists look deeper into the Peak Cluster carbon capture plans and the damage it is set to cause to an entire peninsula, it's communities and green belt land. It's being veiled in a lot of vagueness and secrecy.

I think even if I wasn't a chronic depressive, I'd still experience phases of thinking humanity isn't worth saving and the best thing that could happen is for some alien species to beam us all into a black hole so nature can recover and stop dealing with our neverending bullshit.

Well, I recently learnt that the government want a carbon capture facility built in my home village on green belt land....size of the new Everton stadium, 50m high chimney stacks, running 24/7, floodlit...all with totally safe CO² being piped through town... Not a peep from local press or MP.
