Last time I had a meatless burger my brain went "I got a burger! :D". Then I went and had an actual meat-burger later and my brain went "I got TWO burgers! :D".

For comparison, my usual run is 2 hours with about 900 deaths, and I usually only get 18 trinkets (skipping "Reckless" and "Edge Games"). So basically 100%ing with full trinkets and HALF the normal deaths is... pretty good actually.

It didn't hit me until right now, but I played VVVVVV last night and got all 20 tokens (including "Veni Vidi Vici" AND "Prize for the Reckless"), died less than 500 times, AND beat the whole game for Secret Lab access in about 90 minutes.

Uhhh... that's one of my best runs ever???

Legitimately, before-and-after pics are wonderful. "Before" is always this dead-eyed smile plastered on a face that doesn't quite mean it; "After" is always this glowing, radiant face that is the closest to self-actualization I've ever seen in another human being.

The "big bad" fails to see their repression is causing them to lash out and become corrupted in a quest for a more "holy" world.

The "big good" can't use magic but can find positive value in what they don't understand; everything is "holy" when done without harm and with good intention.

The "big bad" is a zealot preacher who misuses the church as a power-grab to administer "judgment" to whom they wish.

The "big good" is specifically sending one out to investigate what they don't know to see where and how it integrates into the Creator's plan, fully accepting of it.

Brain still stymied on current one because of unsure chapter title, so I might go back to chapter 1 or 2 and add in a chapter for my resident "good church leader" just so they're not introduced out-of-the-blue later on.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to upgrade to Sony or Samsung next time. My current one is a Vizio because it was cheap and I was still part-time when I got it, which - again - not terrible picture or sound, it just has the annoying auto-revert function with no way to turn it off.

If I'm done playing on a console I usually like it to be quiet for a bit, so I keep it on HDMI in case I turn it on again. But Vizio will say "NO ACTIVITY" and revert to home after a minute, scroll through advertised things, then start playing some "vibes" thing when THE VIBE I WANT IS "NO SOUND".

The amount of times I've wanted to throw a shoe or a controller at my TV has increased exponentially. Good sound and picture, but it isn't enough to counter "you aren't doing anything? But you should be doing SOMETHING, so let me do something FOR you" and I just think "SHUT THE FUCK UP."

I'm beginning to hate my TV changing channels to "home" if one is not in use, THEN will auto-play something if I don't actually select anything on that. AND I cannot curate what it plays, so it's either something I don't want or just NOISE, which is why I left it on the blank channel to begin with.

"Nobodies and Nightmares" seems to have taken the lead. It's hard to extricate "nobodies" from Kingdom Hearts, but I like the alliteration, and considering mc!Dusty is rescuing a bunch of outcasts from a predatory nobleman who keeps them in-line with corrupted compulsions...

Like, it throws itself into shit like this and then just... can't move on a project until the hurdle's settled. Which isn't great considering the chapter title is a mostly minor detail, but STILL.
