I barely drink alcohol anymore, but sometimes it hits the spot.

For example: pork chop and potatoes tonight, have a little bourbon + club soda + root beer. One shot bourbon, two shots club soda, fill rest of glass with root beer, over ice.

New coaster get! This wood thing is a BEAST: 8.18 Ex, 7.81 Int, 4.45 Nau. Only about 50mph max, but a twisted layout and 4.38 seconds of registered air-time make it one of the more exciting coasters I've made in RCT2. I also like the scenery around it. :3

1.5hrs of working on this part here.
a screenshot of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, from the scenario Electric Fields. the entrance from yesterday's work is at the left-most edge. the path follows the river to the right part of the shot, where another plaza with a mini railroad station has been built (backwards; the train will be going left to the station when finished). the centerpiece is a wooden coaster in a forest, which goes down the river one-way, ties itself in a knot, then swings around back up the river to go to the station. apart from the wooden coaster, there is another food court (chicken nuggets, lemonade, ice cream), more souvenir stalls, and a small twist / scrambler ride tucked into the corner of the coaster between the station and the river. the path at some point might also get straightened out, forming a line between the scrambler and the path from the entrance at a right angle, because guests are terrible with curved double-wide path so it may get re-structured later. another element of realism I tried adding in was a place where there coaster trains would go to be maintained. I added this shed up by the red-and-black junior coaster for that. using a cheat to disable clearance checks (whether or not something already occupies a tile), I extended the track from the station for the separation, then rejoined the track to the lift with the curve piece. as shown in the screenshot, if done correctly, the train will move on the regular path as shown and ignore the extension. note: I tried this with the wooden coaster with an S-bend to separate the track, but it messed up the activation of a block brake for multiple trains. so I just have a bit of empty track sitting next to it which can be done the same way: building the track, using the S-bend to move back over, then deleting the S-bend to complete the loop. so far as I know, the game does not register the extra length traveled when factoring ride running costs, so it functions as a bit of extra scenery.

Okay, been watching a bunch of "fancy" / "realistic" RCT2 builds so now time to make one of my own. Using Electric Fields and trying not to break things too much with cheats, here's the entry plaza as this is about as much as my brain can take for tonight.
a screenshot of the game Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, from the scenario Electric Fields. at the top left, an entrance plaza around a fountain leads to a main street through a large entrance building after the official boundary gate. it extends up to the top-right to a miniature railroad station, a carousel surrounded by gardens and a somewhat large building that contains a food court (unseen: hamburger stall, drink stall, cotton candy). following along the path is a tree-lined miniature railroad, which also has a mild trellis bridge, and currently stands unfinished as it will grow to accommodate being a park-wide transportation system. to the bottom-left and bottom-right, two footpaths extend from the main area over a river that runs through the park. the main colors so far are beige, dark blue, and umber, with some gray from the roof pieces.

hustlerose for fucks sake medieval monks didn't "believe rabbits were a type of fish" they legally/spiritually classified them as fish because non-nobles weren't legally allowed to hunt or eat typical game like deer from land owned by nobles, but fishing was still allowed (which is why a lot of traditional west european foods involve salmon). it's NOT evidence of ppl in the medieval period being wildly stupid and weird, it's a legalistic oddity like corporate personhood. the fact that some clergy guys could just decide that rabbits were fish because it was convenient is evidence of the absurd feudal theocratic bureaucracy of the times. and also how much control the church had over the way ppl thought about things (always in terms of sin sin sin sin sin). nobody thought rabbits were actually fish but they needed to allow ppl to eat them or there was gonna be famine brought on by the nobles stupid fucking hunting traditions. church and state were so mixed up and both were so inefficient, irrational and stubborn that they couldn't change any rules, only bend them over backwards

One of the biggest failings of the media was the entire premise of "Undercover Boss" went over their focus's heads. That wasn't just one or two people in the company like that, that was ~80% of their workforce and yet they only threw money at 2 of them.

...ah, fuck, I've come up with a worldbuilding thing but it would necessitate going back through almost 200k words in multiple works to change from "God" to "steward" or approximate language changes for it.

Christian-equivalent religion uses "Creator". This would be another religious analogue.
