2. #CDC reports that of the kids who died who were eligible for vaccine (ie 6 months & older) & for from vaccination status is know, 89% hadn't been vaxed for the 2024-25 season.
There was vaccine available. In 2009, during the pandemic, vaccine became available as the major wave subsided.

I think about this all the time. Projects at home and at work, the advocacy issues I was looking ahead to in 2016 and again in 2024, only to be back to fighting to preserve basics like health care coverage, public health institutions, scientific funding, etc. So much time and energy spent.
