It seems to me that the time is ripe for a Bluesky thread about how—and maybe even why—to befriend crows.

Cool news of the day, I will co-lead a PhD student with the Queen's University Belfast :)
It will only be a small part of the project in my lab with some proteomics, so it will mostly be based in Belfast, and it is a cool project :)

When my team members come back from conference, they bring a lot of ideas and potential collaborator, but also freebies! As one of them said, the brain is missing its cerebellum.

Quick media changes today and we have a frog in our iPSCs :D

Reviewers 1 and 2 gave good comments and extra experiments to do. I will ask time extension from the editors as otherwise it is just impossible to do most of them, and we will try to do as much possible because they are very good comments. Lot of work but from fair reviewers :)

1 week after the iPSCs training, the lab is passaging the cell well, no contamination (we didn't used antibiotics compare to usual) and they look lovely!
Such an amazing training!

I like to grow chili plants. I have so many seeds from various types. Currently I have a very basic hydroponic system (Kratky method) so not the most efficient, and in the craft room that I don't warm at the moment as I don't use it. Growing slowly but growing :) Soon flowers, then chilies!

beau AND livre from:astropierre

The iPSCs training is so good. I am not present in the training but my team members are so happy. Also, they are learning to make iPSCs from blood/skin cells too. It is super cool. In addition to our animal work capability and skills, we will also be able to rederive human iPSCs.

This one time, I didn't send a copy of the doc file to myself, thinking "It will be okay because tomorrow I will work on it again and it is saved on my computer". Yeah well, I opened the document and somehow all 500 words I wrote have swapped to "oo" and the doc saved as it is.

I am so happy to hear one of my scientist saying that she feels like in a team where we all help each other and everybody know each other projects and can help and back up each other.
Similarly with another of my scientist saying he is very happy to see that we are truly helping each other.
