here's my first one in response to your brilliant #promptcombo #ThisPoem. It is from my 2017 collection, "A World Where...":
Your Permanent Rec. never to be erased is silence, all you unsay, all conversations you do not have, words you take back, decide to own again, sentences plucked out of midair. A history of all untold, all undone. All you say unrecorded a matter of public record evidence you exist. This poem enters your record as you unread it in your head, unmeaning words in your mind, unpronounce these sounds.

The Roof He needs a hit, so on the roof of the ex bank, ex post office needs to break in sees somebody spot him so he changes his mind shouts I will kill myself. Ambulances and police talk him down.

Call me by any name spring sunshine graces your smile birds sing in praise of all the saints as we amble through the market holding hands you call me by any name that means love summer heat warms to our conversation young birds fledge, their nests left behind we run for the bus, not fast enough to catch it you call me by names only we can know autumn comes early, rains close around us the birds will leave for warmer lands as smoke from cosy hearths fills the air you call me in a hushed voice winter is hard, a northerly wind brings snow those who are left search for shelter you are wrapped up against the elements you call me to say goodbye

The Cynosure A focal point around which all revolve. Dog's Tail end around which the dog chases. Am I in language you feel most involved? Am I the routine your life embraces? Am I the main question you ask yourself? Person most important, central to you? Your pivot, your rock of ages, your wealth? Or in the mirror, just depend on you. I'm your family, I'm their rescuer Loss of regain, regain of loss, again. Answerer of questions, tale relayer, inventor of explanations, refrains. Who wags the dog, whose keen tail never ends, who repeats, never exactly, words wend.

Hi @dragonslayerma.bsky.social Fidel, as I'm on early shift tomorrow. Here is my fourth sonnet in response to your cracking #promptcombo #NorthStar:
I'm Perun's Eye perched atop the World Tree, I'm eagle eyed, for stealer of my cattle, wife and bairns. Up from dark, out from the place where he hides. He'll catch my leetnin arrows till he learns. My eye is constant. Total surveillance. I'll chase him round this earth, my world above, lob my arrows at him shouting a dance until my thunder striking darts prove enough. He relents and releases the bodies of my wife, bairns, and cattle. Kids and she want to be left alone. Cows only seep soured milk, and half lives. Children tell me they prefer their second dad and his games until sunned air works.. Then stolen again.

Polaris I am not one star not a single flicker trembling in the night. I am three woven in orbit a trinity of light that refuses to dim. The daughter: Polaris Ab a quick and restless rhythm in the sky carrying the gravity of distant wishes. The wife: Polaris B a circling sentinel tethered by devotion balancing orbits in constant presence. The mother: Polaris Aa vast heart, burning galaxies in her chest warmth unyielding her voice a trusted compass. Together we shine not as fragments but as one beacon shining through darkness. The daughter’s spark the wife’s glow the mother’s flame I am the constellation of woman the North Star. When you lift your eyes searching for direction find me triple whole radiant.

Altan Hadaas I am the Golden peg pins earth below and earth together.Once one of eight skilled brothers. King offered his golden arrow to rescue his queen stolen by a big billed bird. All my brothers agreed. Listener who can hear leaf fall hundred miles away, Airspace fies above us all with Farseer on his back who can see an ant's wild way, Lifter moves mountains for lean Speedier to zoom through. On the second day, Snouter smells the bird's trail. Tracker traces its spoor. Monster distracted by Airspace flutter. We bring lost queen to grateful king once more. Unbreakable arrow king lobs higher I catch it, am North Star, kin Big Dipper.
