good news: after the hell of taking down our tv last night and expecting the worst case scenario with the repair service not fixing/replacing the TV, we hassle free just got a whole new tv. Repair guy took one look inside it and went "hmm... Yeah no I brought a replacement TV, just take it." LMAO
