Which isn't an expensive fix in material cost, but that is a lot of labor. Probably was cheaper to just give a new TV over 😬

For reference, left half of the screen started going dark gradually and got Bad, definitely not a burn in issue either. Sadly the repair guy didn't tell my fiance what the issue was so my curiosity there will never be sated, but I'm assuming half the backlights were dying for some reason?

oh sorry, vague wording on my part lol. nope, they're mad he's coming down with live with us :) which is the wildest fucken thing, because what parents don't want their mid-20s kids to move on? (especially considering he was literally living on a tiny indoor balcony b/c there was no room there)
