Portland mornings with clear skies don't suck.

I'm not sure I actually buy the sarcasm thing though, because usually I'd see a "Honk if you ❤️ Whales!" sticker amongst plethora of other environmental stickers.

It's just a funny, and not actually soliciting honking, IMHO

There was a thread not too long ago about Leto, and that it's not that he's still getting cast so much as he's paying the studios to be cast by offering them a decent investment in the project as an Executive Producer.
It sounded like it's the only reason he's still getting roles.
Sad and pathetic.

Not just paid help, but make sure the guards knew they and their families would be well taken care of if it happened.

It didn't say what the billionaire's responses were in the moment, but interesting that it was fairly soon after that conversation that they all started building their own bunkers.

I saw an article back when they first started building bunkers a few years back. Apparently, I think it was at Davis, a bunch of them attended a general seminar on security, and one of them asked how they'd survive societal collapse.

The answer was to treat their body guards like family…

I hate how many people are still struggling to figure out the incredibly obvious truth right in front of their nose.

I worry how ugly the shattering of their cognitive dissonance is going to be, and how the folks most at risk will likely suffer the greatest fallout from it too.

It really costs you nothing to be comfortable in the knowledge that you are imperfect, and will make mistakes, because then when you do the thing that will happen no matter whether you have previously allowed for it, you can just say oh my bad, yeah, dick move.
