Keep in mind this is just a theory, and as far as I know, hasn't been subjected to a peer review by established Zevon scholars.

I'm no fan of Trump or MAGA (nor do I think Bizarro cartoonist Dan Piraro is). But there's something seriously wrong about taking his work and sloppily altering it to fit your politics/agenda. (Note date of publication: 2012. MAGA didn't even exist yet.)
