Because yes, Thanksgiving as a national holiday has to do with the Civil War and not the Puritans or previously proclaimed days of Thanksgiving (of which there were hundreds) - so be sure, as you gather about the table, to give thanks for the victories brought by Union arms at Vicksburg & Gettysburg

In case anyone was curious, between yesterday afternoon's IU Women's basketball game and last night's IU Men's basketball game, the refs called 95 fouls! #iubb #iuwb

(Some quick and possibly unreliable research suggests that's about 20% higher than average.)

Enright was a lot of fun to watch last night! I don't want to get too excited about this team - I've been down this road before - but I'm starting to hope. #iubb

Mostly passing this along for the Muncie content.
🦃TURKEY TIP🦃‼️

Have a large frozen turkey? Get it in the fridge to thaw tonight.
But don't even THINK about thrusting into that turkussy neck hole until at least Tuesday because the ice in there will fuck you up worse than the ice you lifted off that unconscious hooker in Muncie.

Eat arbys.

After it rolled around on one of my Pandora stations, I've been enjoying Wu-Tang's "Mandingo" for a few months now.

Not being particularly up to date on music, I vaguely assumed it was a decade or two old. Nope! Released in April of this year.

Anecdotal - the barbershop I go to (not a hotbed of socialism; also, yes it's funny I still bother with a barber) had the TV on which aired a segment about "prices this Thanksgiving."

The barber, without any kind of prompting, sarcastically noted Trump telling everyone prices were going down.

A graphic posted in the r/TheB1G subreddit, illustrating the Big Ten championship game possibilities based on who wins and loses this weekend. Obviously IU v. Ohio State is the most likely scenario. #iufb

Indiana gets in if they win and also gets in if they lose but Ohio State beats Michigan.

Just saw someone described as an "ontologist" and now I want Clinical Ontologist to be a job title.

Welcome to the Department of Clinical Ontology. Let's go over your chart. I see that you are. Are you still as you were or are you otherwise? For your case of being, I prescribe becoming.

"Crowd" is being kind of generous in the headline. I don't think there were enough people to account for any more than 3 or 4 people per Congressional District.

Starting “The Revolutionary War” now and boy, this thing is choppy

By not starting micro and going macro like the makers usually do makes it hard to focus on the story

Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.

Kim Davis is done. The Supreme Court is not reconsidering Obergefell. What happens now?
There is a reason people were afraid that the Supreme Court would take up case. The reason is the Supreme Court itself. Here's why I'm taking this whole experience seriously.
