Effect of new rules

2024 Rd1 Div1 & 2 total lines averaged 31.25 with a max of 33.5 & a min of 29 5

2025? 6 games priced with an average of 36.17 (+5 points !!). A max of 39.5 (🤯) and a min of 34.5

The 2025 minimum is a full point ahead of the 2024 maximum #gaa

No idea on the new rules. But analysts have to be happy. The more lines on the pitch the easier to reference where something happens 😁

Am annual tradition from "over there" ... always a highlight
OK, so the time has come for my 2024 Best Things I Read thread, which started over on the Everything App (and you can already find Pt1 of this year's list over there if that's your scene). But I thought that it would be a good way to introduce myself in this parish
Over on the Everthing App, I've done a thing over Christmas for the last four years where I share a (very long) list of all the articles I enjoyed most that particular year. Given what appears to be a significant enough exodus currently from the darkest timeline, thinking about replicating it here

Wow. Here is one to brighten up your morning. The first images of the restored interior of Notre Dame cathedral. Breathtaking. In just five years France did it

Bookmaker’s odds are not great for election prognostication, as they build in such margin (avg. 60% cushion for a5 seater), but we can still do something.

Boyles have priced up every constituency. We’ll categorise TDs as “nailed” (<= 1/10), “probable” (1/9 to 1/4) and “possible” (2/7 to 2/1) (1/3)

Leaflets dropped through the letterbox today. Always interested in the decisions made on how to produce them.

• Berry didn't get the memo on right aligning the address
• Poor old Byrne doesn't get a photo on the front
• Mini Martin on the bottom right of the FF version is ... a thing!

Understand margins, rounding etc. . . but my poor brain can't get past totalling the movements and getting -10 and +7

Using the wind isn't just about long range shooting etc. You've got to ensure you don't give away cheap frees close in ... make em earn it against the wind. Crokes have had 0-04 from their opening 0-05 against a strong wind from frees all within 25m
Argh Rathgormack. Stop giving close in frees when you have the wind ... make em earn it #gaa

Cracking game given the underfoot conditions. There'll be a few "what ifs" from Lomans ... that free at the end. The 1-on-1 with the keeper in injury time. But Mary's efficiency up front was very good. #gaa
Lomans defensive block has more or less worked. But Mary's have scored a long range free and two very good scores from acute angles. All to play for
