As of last week, it's been 2 years since a Canadian artist had a #1 single in Canada. This is not the longest drought they've had, as there was also an exactly 3 year gap from 2012 to 2015

Today I lived the Facebook experience, going to town on a terribly written article that I read recently that was published a decade ago and re-posted for rage bait hottest-100.blogspot.com/2026/01/380-...
Sometimes the streaming landscape serves up oddities like 'I've never heard of this artist I love's top track', but then if you go by last fm, you'll find that most of the time even the most obvious top hits have only been listened to by half of that listener's audience. You're not weird!

The ARIA singles chart has had the same top 3 songs for 13 consecutive weeks. #1 & #2 swapped spots 8 weeks ago and that's the only movement between them in this entire time.
