I ran out of words, live in Northumberland - a very old and interesting kingdom of the past. Steeped in history and glorious scenery, though pre Covid we explored all manner of places including Amtrak across the USA, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Bali, Singapore and loads of Europe by train.

This is obscene. Why can't other politicians say that?

The 25 richest families are collectively $358.7 billion richer than a year ago, with a combined fortune totaling $2.9 trillion.

Nick Watt, "It's not about saying did Russia influence the Brexit referendum"

Only Labour could run an investigation into foreign interference and ignore Russia's influence on Brexit 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely - I hate the assumed jollity and the forced conformity. All of course playing into the hands of gross consumerism.

The fact is no presenter has ever had to leave the BBC for expressing conservative views, or even explicitly endorsing a right-wing party.

Dragging terminally ill people from their death beds to appear in court to plead their case is objectively cruel.

Should peers cause the #AssistedDyingBill to fail, it would be unimaginably devastating for terminally ill people and their families.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

An inconvenient truth for the racists and xenophobes:

Low birth rate in the UK inevitably means fewer young supporting ever more older people.

Immigration brings in young people and eases the problem.

Without it, everyone must work longer.

Why we need to tax the super rich more.

Their wealth is growing MUCH faster than everyone else's.

And they're using it to outbid you for real resources: housing, assets, healthcare, education and everything else of real value.

Labour are attacking Greens. Fine. I have yet to see any party that has entirely affordable aspirations.

But at least the Greens HAVE aspirations.

Labour have seemingly decided the status quo cannot be touched, even when it doesn't work for 90% of people, or the viability of life on the planet.
