Hey @fenwayhealth.bsky.social, I know you’re in a tough position federal funding–wise, but ending gender-affirming care for trans youth can’t be the only solution.

This is LGBTQ+ History Month, and I urge my followers who are LGBTQ+ (or just curious) to dive into one thing--a movie, novel, TV show--from your childhood or before. Look at an older gay work as something other than a relic or an error. You'll be rewarded. Your world, your SELF, will get bigger. >

That seems kind of like a free space, no? I mean, it’s beyond the pale to ask people whose humanity Charlie Kirk never recognized to genuflect in “proper mourning”. When one person starts from a place of “you don’t have a right to exist”, there’s not really room for maneuvering.

Look at his full post and it’s clear it’s not — nor would sarcasm be appropriate. The man was murdered; political violence damages democracy no matter who it targets. That said, trying to rehabilitate a man’s public image just because he was murdered is disingenuous at best and dangerous at worst.

FUN FACT: It takes a lot of space to store around 2,500 books. 🫠

We quickly outgrew our current storage space for our LGBTQIA+ book collection. Thankfully, we were able to find a much bigger space just down the hall! Now we can admire the potential of our little library! 😍
