“People don’t change when they see the light, they change when they feel the heat.” - Anonymous

Posting this for no apparent reason.

So tired of all the village idiots who banded together and somehow took over this nation.

That’s awesome! You’re wonderfully creative. Time for me to go shopping.
I’d like to recreate that. What did you buy?

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.
Well damn! I just invited myself. 😄
I would like that very much. DM me. I travel often for work.
He rarely spoke of his time at war. He did mention liberating a camp and the horrors he witnessed. Makes me wonder if their paths crossed.
What branch of the military did he serve in? Oh wait, he didn’t. Despite being 18 when we invaded Iraq he chose to never serve. He had years to enlist but he didn’t. Tired of all these fake patriots who never served.
A reminder to all here: "It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man by argument.” - William McAdoo

Please stop wasting your precious life energy arguing with fools.

"Today, George Lakoff's classic text has become all the more relevant, as liberals and conservatives have come to hold even more vigorously opposed views of the world, with the underlying assumptions of their respective worldviews at the level of basic morality."

"Complex narratives — the kind we find in anyone’s life story, as well as in fairy tales, novels and dramas — are made up of smaller narratives with very simple structures.
