It doesn’t matter how much you exercise or how many veggies you eat when it comes to a pandemic.

These things will not stop it, and the shitbirds that Trump has installed in leading public health positions should be fired for even suggesting it would.

As Trump ramps up his ICE raids in Charlotte, North Carolina, more than 30,000 students across the county reportedly did not attend school on Monday.

This isn't about going after the “worst of the worst.”

It was always about cruelty.

"Push the regime beyond its limits and it'll break."
The authoritarian threat is serious, and people should take it seriously.

AND the threat is under-resourced and full of incompetents who got their job because they put breaking the law for Trump above personal integrity or fear of consequences.

Push the regime beyond its limits and it'll break.

I still can’t get over this story. A Tennessee man spent 37 days in a cage—on *$2 million* bond—for posting a meme, because police said he was trying to “create hysteria.”

This was the meme. I would expect this to happen in China, not the United States. reason.com/2025/10/30/p...

Well, Governor Pritzker, you need to explain!

Well said,

"Trump's people want a lot of bad things that will make America an authoritarian regime. But they haven't succeeded and it would take a while for them even to end democracy, much less build fascism.

"So act as if you live in a democracy - because you do."
My mistake has been trying to explain what "fascism" is to people who don't care what it is.

So I'm going to try something else. Let's do this as a practical thought exercise.

If America *were* fascist *today* - what would you have to do differently in your daily life? /1
