So, now that Pokémon Legends Z-A reviews are up, I'll say I've got an early copy and have put aprox 10 hours in so far.

Genuinely really enjoying it - The new combat system is robust and, while set in a single city, the HUGE density of NPC side quest content has helped it to feel really alive.

If the UK leaves the ECHR it would mean:
• No right to appeal when UK courts get it wrong
• Less protection if punished for striking/joining a union
• Fewer limits on bosses spying on you
• Weaker safeguards for your beliefs/religion on the job
• Less fairness if treated badly by a public employer

My Job Will End. The Mission Won't. - On October 10, 2025, I was effectively laid off from CDC as part of the Reduction in Force. I am on admin leave until early December, when my position is scheduled for termination - though there is still a chance for that decision to be reversed. It's a strange and heavy place to stand: not yet gone, not yet safe — still committed, still hopeful for our nation's future.
I'm reminded that leadership doesn't end when your name is on a list. It continues in what you choose to protect: the mission, the knowledge, the people, and the conviction that public health is not a budget line item. It's a responsibility — to act, to prevent harm, and to serve the greater good.
Whether this chapter closes or changes course, my focus remains the same: to uphold the principles that guided my work at CDC - readiness in emergencies, leadership through uncertainty, and turning data into action when lives depend on it.
The responsibility to serve when the public needs us most cannot be reduced, reorganized, or replaced. We adapt and endure. Because this work — our work — has never been about titles or positions. It's about people.
To my colleagues, both inside and out: hold fast. The story isn't over yet.

It is odd that the Supreme Court hasn't incorporated the 7th Amendment's civil jury trial guarantee against the states. It has applied almost every other part of the Bill of Rights to states, so this is an outlier.
