I liked the Platner ads too but I think there's a difference between "guy who had some bad reddit posts a decade ago" and "ex-Blackwater merc who still has a Nazi tattoo." Sucks bigtime that he's the only one taking positions and talking policy I like, but them's the breaks!

I saw them back to back nights in Seattle ~15 years ago. I'd been waiting for Slaves and Bulldozers (among a few others) throughout both nights, and then they closed the encore on the second night with it.

Hell, my wife makes a lot more money than I ever have, and that fact let me leave a relatively lucrative career that I hated to do something that pays a bit less but is infinitely more fulfilling. It's great.

It's striking that even in the defenses of Bari Weiss's broader thing no one ever says that she or her website does good work. Even the people that admire the success she's had selling lite reactionary shit to rich old guys top out at "people do seem to like it." You could defend Jake Paul that way.
