On the horrific news that Pete Hegseth ordered the killing of boat bombing survivors, remember: The Trump Murder Memo "authorizing" the strikes preemptively clears those carrying them out. That's unusual. And we still haven't heard from the commander who resigned:

Trump isn't doing anything to lower costs for your family, but he is using the full force of the presidency to make himself and his family very, very, very, very rich.

And Orbán might fall on 12 April elections to the Tisza Party lead by Peter Magyar! Vital for Europe and a great blow to Trump/AfD and other right wing groups. Please, support! Magyar might not be perfect but the first real contender to seriously challenge Orban’s corrupt autocracy!

Cowardly universities will pay the price. They should look to America.

The Tories were spooked by Farage into holding a referendum. Now universities are panicking in case Farage’s latest party, with <1% of seats, comes to power.

Trump & Farage don’t want a well-educated electorate. Fight them!

The Anglo Saxons thought that they could buy off the Danes. Chamberlain thought he could buy off the Nazis with the Munich agreement.
Such pity that neither their Early Medieval or Modern European History departments were not asked for input.

Heard some universities think tank bod tell Matthew Wright it was a “smart move and would help the unis mould Reform policies”. 😳 Smacks more of supine complying in advance. Can’t they see from the Trump example that you can never appease bullies, they’ll always come back for more.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

And #SkyNews is just as bad. There are so many real problems in the world, and journalists, too often, waste time on manufactured scandals. And journalists smugly claim to be holding politicians to account, by insulting them, not challenging them with facts.
Even #Channel4News has fallen for the frothing right wing myth that Reeves "lied". She said taxes would need to be raised. And then did it. The only leader who hasn't fallen for it is Ed Davey. #CiaranJenkins you are usually better than this. Just stop it. It's pathetically poor journalism.
Bemused by how skewed @news.sky.com political coverage has been in the last 48 hours, too much gotcha and not enough factual analysis. Nearly fell apart over OBR leak, waffle, waffle, waffle. The only presenter providing quality output was Ed Conway ?because he deals in facts.

Is it my imagination, or was there a really a time when politicians weren't quite as inclined to indulge in vicious personal insults of their opponents? Some of them now behave like twitter hooligans. And journalists too often do the same. They should set a better example.

Blimey -even Paddy O'Connell on BBC Broadcasting House is running a big item on whether the Chancellor lied. That's a pathetic charge whipped up by the right wing press. She hinted that a tax rise might be needed. It was. She delivered it.
PLEASE stop gotcha journalism -just give us facts.
