This is appalling and monumentally stupid behaviour from BBC idiots so afraid of their own shadows they'd rather capitulate to a bunch of people who want the BBC to die rather than back the creator of bloody perfect radio that expresses the joyful wonder of science better than *anything* else.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Huge respect for Robin Ince. It absolutely sucks that he had to resign, that the BBC and others can’t see what he sees - the othering and demonisation of innocent people, the cruelty that is being inflicted. We should all be more like Robin - standing up for fairness, for kindness, for others

The Infinate Monkey Cage was one of the best things on the radio btw.

Every time I see something like this from a genuinely caring and intelligent individual I think back to one person. Yeah this is a sub post.

Yeah, non of my family would actually call me because they know I'd ignore it!!!
This is actually a really common scam these days. A scammer will call and use AI to replicate a family member’s voice and the family member will sound distressed and having an emergency so you don’t have time to think. Best thing to do is hang up and call that family member “back” to confirm.

Got drawn into watching a bit of Little Alex Horne as part of his signing one song for 24 hours challenge. Strangely addictive.

This is an incredible read!!
An absolutely brilliant read, by Kate Mossman, on a plane crash that never was. Features Bryan Ferry being extraordinarily calm.

The only thing I do different in any "big" city is the wallet goes in the front pocket and I don't wave my phone about like some idiot saying "steal this please".
It's wild. We have so many real problems as a country, and instead a large chunk of our political class would rather hallucinate that one of the safest big global cities in the world is actually dangerous.
The "London = most dangerous place on the planet" discourse is still going strong on Twitter

I've actually been surprised by how little I've felt threatened as a woman in London (having lived in Tooting and Peckham)

I loved growing up in Nottingham, but I had much, much worse experiences there tbh

There are some excellent beers that should be served cold. Pilsner for example.
Beers of any kind only need to be served cold if they don't taste good. A mouthful of nutty brown is delicious when served body warm. If you find yourself looking for ice cold beer then your problem is bad beer not refrigeration.
