Had no idea Nigel Farage was invited to the F1 season finale until I saw this picture... 😐

Silly and stupid F1 2025... had the season ran in *reverse*, the standings heading into Australia would have been:

1. Piastri - 408 points
2. Verstappen - 403 points
3. Norris - 398 points

...and on lap 43 of that race...

1. Piastri - 426 points
2. Norris - 423 points

In 2015, McLaren finished the season ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 12th and 17th. 27 points and 9th overall.

Ten years later, they finished the season on 833 points as both Drivers' and Constructors' Champions.

Unless there is an announcement at the eleventh hour (always possible), the answer to the second paragraph is 'no'.

As it stands, the F1 season finale will be exclusively live in the UK on Sky Sports. Of course, no obligation for Sky to share live coverage with Channel 4 if they don't wish to.
Right now, the only motor sport race airing live on free-to-air TV in the UK next weekend is the Sao Paulo E-Prix on Saturday 6th December on ITV4.

We'll see if that changes in the coming days...

Sky's build-up and Chequered Flag have been extended by 30 minutes each.

Incredible stat:

On the last Five Occasions that at least Three Drivers were involved in the title decider - 1981, 1983, 1986, 2007 & 2010 - The driver leading the championship heading into the race never went on to win the title.

Can Norris break the curse?

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

I should have put a bet on this... 😭 #LasVegasGP
Funnily enough I pointed out to someone earlier that technically Max Verstappen can still win the Drivers' Championship.

Is it realistic? Unlikely, but this is Max Verstappen we're talking about. I see its prompted this line of thought from The Race - www.the-race.com/formula-1/wh...

NEW: Labour inherited public services in crisis. Performance had fallen, investment had been cut + spending plans were undeliverable.

It's made some progress, providing stability and positive long-term plans. But it has been undermined by poor prep in opposition and lack of co-ordination in govt 🧵
