Car's in for a service so I've been loaned this for the day. It's basically a chest freezer on wheels, with heated seats.

I'm sure it's lovely when given the chance but I miss being able to go round corners and not feel like your door handles are scraping off the tarmac.

I think the technical term for Craigavon hospital's A&E is 'On Its Arse'. My stepdad had 11 and 12 hour waits to be seen there (plus 2 nights sleeping on a trolley in a corridor) last year and it seems to have gotten worse.
Craigavon hospital: Wait times averaging almost 19 hours
Emergency department average waiting times released at 09:00 GMT show the Royal Victoria and Ulster hospitals also experienced waits of about nine hours.

Meet Benita, a gentle 9-year-old who is so ready for her soft place to land.
She was found living in a derelict car doing her best to survive & scavenging for food. When she came into our care, she was thin, exhausted & covered in fleas – a little soul who had been fending for herself for too long.

I might have bought another MegaDrive. 😬

This one's a LOT rougher, and probably doesn't even run (guy says he has no way to test it as there are no cables) but it was £20 & you'll pay more for one which is 100% broken. Pic from the listing.

I'm going to save another one. 🤞🤣

I wrote this Substack about adopting old, unwanted dogs. In part to get someone to adopt the one in this preview image.

Not just for Christmas
This month I was going to share an old Christmas story I wrote but instead I got sad about rescue dogs, so I’m doing something else.

Fantastic list and great to see Kasai in there. It's been a long time since I've been so entranced by an album where I didn't know what the hell was going on.

A very strong #1 as well. 🙏

Two years ago we lost Shane MacGowan. I will always remember his childlike smile, his generous spirit and his humanity. He was a wonderful man and he is so missed.

Sending love today to Victoria Mary Clarke and Siobhan MacGowan on what will be a difficult day.
