Never had him as a teacher, but still couldn't avoid knowing his presence and reputation in the school. Could often hear him two classes down the corridor! In sixth form, through a mutual friend of his son in the year above me, I ended up at his beautiful house on a bike ride around Strangford Lough

I used this family tree as a reference for creating my long-defunct Fall Line-Ups web page around 1996. Later it was mentioned in the sleeve notes of Stewart Lee's '90s Fall compilation, A Past Gone Mad. So I got my name on a Fall album. Spelt wrong, but still, my name's on a Fall album.
