Only saw them live once but they were the tightest band I've ever heard.

And yet everyone seems to drive the bloody things. Unless it's got a tow bar and is hauling a sheep trailer I see no reason for SUVs.

I liked Deezer but most of my streaming is done in the car and when I'd lose signal, Deezer would stop when it ran out of buffer but not start again unless I rebooted the app. YT Music auto reconnects, so it's a winner for me.

Yeah I think all those couriers vary greatly due to individual drivers. Evri gets an awful rep but my local driver is a great fella.

Same. I switched from Spotify to Deezer a couple of years ago but remembered (eventually) that I had a YouTube premium subscription, which entitled you to their full music service. It's the old Google Music service, which was my first time paying for streaming so I've come full circle.

If they've not been expressly made and cooked in Yorkshire are we supposed to call them 'Golden Batter Castles' now?

This country... 😋

I had a mate at school who was obsessed with EMF .... until he heard Carter.

The Grebo gateway drug. 😀

Could well be. It's still daft because I'd say most of the stuff bound for there will end up in the recycling centre when it's still of use.

I wonder why charity shops are so picky these days? Places like CEX still buy all manner of electrical stuff and nothing I've ever bought from them has had a PAT sticker.
December 2, 2025 at 10:38 PM
I've had a quick Google and electrical equipment in a workplace needs to be PAT tested, which is why just selling stuff on eBay isn't included ... I guess?
December 2, 2025 at 10:21 PM
This is true. Don't second hand electrics need to be PAT tested before sale? My local charity shop has become sniffy about this but it doesn't seem to have effected eBay. Maybe it's different if you're just repairing.

It's funny but I've been thinking about that. There's one in the village but I think it's mainly focused on furniture etc, nothing electric. A gap in the (voluntary) market!
