They shifted funding into HSAs to deliberately raise rates; they eliminated many of the requirements for coverage to promote ineffective plans that lack key coverages; they added high deductible plans that shifted healthy populations making full coverage plans more expensive. It goes on and on.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

There is no reason why the U.S. needs 15 separate agencies to conduct food oversight.
That’s why I introduced the Federal Food Administration Act to consolidate food safety enforcement into a single agency. This change will protect the foods in our kids’ lunch boxes and on our dinner tables.
