Just realised: how many Christmas dinners are going to be ruined by AI this year..
December 14, 2025 at 1:25 PM
I'm going to guess it's an ADHD/executive dysfunction thing that I'm endlessly irritated at seeing Christmas food in shops that I'm all ready to get and cook *now*, but having to conceptualise buying in advance (within use-by date) and readying it for an exact time/day? Hell.

As much as I've been a goofy fuck about promoting I Will Kill Your Imaginary Friend for $200, the genuine reception it's getting is incredible. Especially with people totally unfamiliar with my work. Here's an early review thread, starting with the incredible starred feature in Publisher's Weekly.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Hell yeah, those with access to Channel 4 streaming or on-demand, they've got Dead of Night on tomorrow which is an absolute banger of a ghost story compilation movie from 1945

Still jazzed about a new Remedy game in the Control setting, and a new Frictional game that's a spiritual successor to SOMA.
Those are both EXTREMELY my jam.
And the Divinity announcement was very folk horror.
That's some good news for me!

A good thread, read it to the end.
So, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.

I don't care as much about the Keighleys as most of you. It's an advertisement show, it always has been since Spike. The idea that it should 'be better' or 'speak to industry issues' and so on is... just odd to me? this is like asking nickelodeon not to slime people and be more dignified

Remember my new book is up on NetGalley and Edelweiss, if you're an advance reviewer. Response has been weirdly, unanimously and overwhelmingly positive. You can break that streak!

Just to say: if I, as McDonalds, had spent years battling against the public perception that our food was in some way artificial (pink nugget slop, etc.), instead of tying my brand to artificiality with AI, I'd have gone hard in the other direction. Real food for real people.
Oh well!

Aw man did he do the 'half-closed eyes and teeth out' face and everything and it still didn't sell? Damn. That sucks.
Like, for someone that sucks. I find it funny, but, yeah, I'd probably review those contracts!
Genuinely incredibly fascinating study in what marketing vectors lead to literally zero sales here, wowwww

Wait, Chester Bennington was in Saw 3D?
This should not be any kind of endorsement to go and watch Saw 3D, this is not a good film.
