We damn well better - with Hanks as the detective who "courageously" (sarcasm) talked down the kid in the tunnels. And I should direct it, since I already made a video-game riff on a similar concept. (though mine had more to do with drugs than video-game violence)

Actually got to see Ray Harryhausen in person when I was about 10 or 11. I was sadly too shy to say hello and shake his hand, but seeing some of his maquettes/armatures in person was amazing.

Stay with me here-- the perfect format for a Judge Dredd adaptation would be a Saturday Morning animated show for kids. But one that was made for the kids of Megacity-1 and escaped to our world.

Full of bad ethics presented as moral lessons. Starship Troopers the hell out of it but played straight.
