That's a fantastic double bill, The Haunting is perhaps my favourite cinematic ghost story and there's guaranteed nightmares with both together. To be fair, guaranteed nightmares with the two you've carefully left unmentioned too, but for very different reasons!

It's outstanding isn't it, excellent on every level. Freddie Francis' stunning cinematography is one of the main stars but yes, Kerr is simply magnificent!

I'm right beside you in the Freddie Francis fan club mate. He directed many of my favourite films but that aside as an Oscar winning cinematographer his work is extraordinary. And never more so than here...

He did, he was a terrific old school showman. And I'm quite a fan, I've several Castle films in my collection. Not all great but all great fun!

It's generally accepted within Hammer groups (and historically by Hammer themselves) that 'Brides' is part of their Dracula series. Whatever an individual opinion, it's included as such in all listings. Either way, great films.

It is, the famous 'Emergo' gimmick of having a ropey skeleton fly across the auditorium at a particular point. Good old William Castle!
