A large earthquake, currently measured at magnitude 7.2, has just hit off Aomori Prefecture. A tsunami advisory is in effect for southern Hokkaido and northeastern Tohoku. The earthquake was strong enough to be faintly perceived all the way in Tokyo.

Britain is the best country because nowhere else could a show exist with a presenter who had Jeff Epstein's best pal as his best man, a man who resigned over the BBC's Iraq War coverage, a genocide denier cited by a mass murderer, & the dad of a serving govt minister all yucking it up of a Sunday.

For non-Brits: one of these people has for years been held up as a lion of personal courage, bravely standing up to vicious bullies, and the other was denounced at astonishing intensity as a Stalinist thug imposing their crazy beliefs on others by force. Would you like to guess which is which?

That last minute goal. Amongst all the Salah nonsense, no one seems to have noticed that Ryan Gravenberch sh*t himself again at the back post.
Despite his height, the lad isn’t up for tackles and duels, just like Gakpo.
That’s two goals he’s cost us now, at Palace and now at Leeds. #LFC

Lowest goals conceded outside the top seven teams.

Lowest goals scored in the entire league.

That’s an approach that gets you one place above relegation, so probably worth doing something about that, Verdy. And Xebio.

#jleague top tier finished with the lowest average GPG (2.37) of any season on record.

Stats point: that GPG is - 1.71 SDEV below average, 16.8% lower than the typical season. A season this low-scoring only occurs by chance in c.1/23 seasons (4.4% probability).

Given it's the 5th consecutive season below the historical average, it's nonetheless likely not a one year anomaly, but instead something may have fundamentally changed in the playing styles in the #jleague. More data needed to be sure, but the high scoring seasons of past don't look like returning.

Just watched Zootopia 2. Can confirm @kermodemovie.bsky.social review was spot on. Really nice way to spend a morning.

Hoping they don’t take another 9 years to make the next one!

🎶 Oh, he wears the number 20

He will take us to victory

And when he’s running down the left wing

He’ll cut inside and score for LFC

He’s a lad from Portugal

Better than Figo don’t you know

Oh, his name is Diogo 🎶

My heart, after several glasses of sake, has decided that Worf saying "she is only here, and here" (pointing to hearts), in TNG's "The Bonding", is enough to weep quietly over.

Talbi's goal was from 29 yards.

Liverpool have conceded four goals from 24+ yards in their last 11 games in league and Europe (also Caicedo, González, Doku). A bad run for van Dijk in particular.

They last conceded as many in a whole season in 2021/22, more in 2017/18 (six).
Deflected goal from a mile out because it's 2025/26.

Final thought. We don't know how much Leoni's injury has hurt the defensive plan. #LFC clearly wanted Guehi or another CB. And despite him only being 18, Leoni was already playing regularly in Serie A for Parma. I think he'd have played a lot more games if he hadn't gotten that freak injury.
December 4, 2025 at 4:33 AM
Having said all of that, there are players (Endo in particular), that the manager clearly doesn't want to play. And there are players (Robbo) who are now past it. AND there are players (Mo) who don't fit the system Slot wants to play.

So #LFC have work to do. It's still a rebuild.
December 4, 2025 at 4:30 AM
Barring a complete and total collapse where we are in serious danger of relegation, #LFC are not going to sack the manager after everything that has happened.
And to be honest, I think he'd go himself if it came to that.

So, just support the team. We'll see where we are in May.

(Stupidly) decided to read some of the #LFC comments on here. Have come to the conclusion that we have an online fanbase that is very spoiled.
"He's spent 400 million! We should 1970 Brazil! WHY ARE WE NOT 1970 BRAZIL?! WAAH WAAAH Slot out!"

There was a big turnover of players.
One of them died.

Just watched the #LFC highlights back. OK, they weren't great, but they created chances, dominated the ball and should've won the game. Both teams got lucky deflected goals. Sunderland had a great chance right at the end when LFC went all out attack, but Chiesa did his job as last man.

There’s no democratic element to any of this: it’s Britain’s astonishingly poisonous media outlets and their tame politicians, who they can destroy whenever they want, hand in hand with billionaire-funded crackpot activists. Gangsters, musing about one carelessly dropped match.

I wouldn’t go expecting anyone to stand up to legal threats or the British press. Everyone knows where power lies and we have all seen over and over what happens to anyone who puts up even token resistance against them. The whole system will fold, with lip service and nothing more.

Apart from the fact that Rory is a total moron there were some points that Zack needed to brush up on.

The day one thing you’d do as a Green PM (which let’s face it is unlikely but so what) is to stop the BoE …
