My radicalized perspective is that if the US can force ByteDance to divest/shutter TikTok in the US, the EU can do the same for Azure/AWS cloud data centers under the same logic
fundamentally i even get why the european union doesn't want giant american multinationals running their entire internet, especially now
Yeah, I think the key for any shared rule-based compliance-y function is to center the interests of, in order: (1) the external "customer" and (2) the internal customers. Shared services are virtually never the customer and should never act like they are
And X has shit engagement by bad faith users so there isn't even a "yet we participate in society. Curious" counterargument for being there

Christ that seems late, system resource issue or what? Seems like AES-256 has been normative for quite a while now but I might have corporate / non-consumer myopia

RIP to a true hero in the War on Cars

May your retirement to some random non-median location be peaceful and fulfilling
Trump really making Biden look like a foreign policy idiot. It ain't pretty to watch or even good for the US long term but Biden getting clowned by a clout-chasing blowhard is really embarrassing stuff
Xenophobes: "You need to integrate!!"

Me: "Bro I live in central Paris, I can barely get anyone to speak French with me to be able to practice."
Thank god I'm learning a language actually hypothetically worth anything at all I guess
Long-stay = A2
Resident = B1
Citizen = B2

I get the logic but I'm out here working hard, it will take me forever to multitask and get that fluent just to have voting rights and an EU passport... 😩
Yeah France has something for workers on 1 Jan too (A2?), but it has exceptions (thankfully for me, I'm in the middle of my fluency journey)
France will require B2 for citizenship as of 1 January. Some university students can't pass B2
Well, they'll always have a job waiting for them in England /s
It definitely is but unfortunately this trash is becoming common in racist, xenophobic Europe
Wandering in Paris is an A+ activity and I love that there's a special French word for it (flâneur/-euse).
ohhh this is like a guvnah thing
I love it, it's like prestiging in a multiplayer video game
There's a reason this is my profile banner
DG: *slams 350-page report on the table menacingly*
If this turns into a real Palestine and peace in the ME I'd give it #2 behind WWII

Provocative according to who? Any enforcement is provocative to America-brained tech CEOs
