Fairly quiet day at the studio. Did some printing. Skeleton longs to be friends with the wire spiders.

The only comfort I have been able to take is what this Oregon national guard general stated the other day

Heart of downtown, next to the max line and next door to Sinister Coffee (IG Sinisterpdx)

Dropping some new product/designs this week at the studio. New shirt, patch, and bandana! Also a special design for pants, towels, and back panels.

And on Friday, I'm hosting a local Printmaker (IG cripplecraft), so bring something to be printed on. I will have fabric and paper scraps available.

Unfortunately even when I say firm on a listing, I still get haggling inquiries. Just the nature of beast 🤷🏼

Hosting a monthly market pop up at my studio tomorrow.

It's a perfect excuse to come downtown, enjoy some art, pop next door for some excellent coffee at Sinister and perhaps a walk?

Other than that, it really felt like we were celebrating the host, not the community he claims to have built.

Went to a little business/customer meet and mingle. Everyone was registered, but when the host greeted me, didn't know who I was nor what I did.

Felt really out of place. Ran into a mutual and their friend and chatted most of the time.

Have you been to my studio yet? The next monthly pop up is happening Saturday, October 4.
Loving the artist line up and there will be some fun activities to enjoy.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to have so much space for printing, retail and to host other artists and classes.

Just hoping I hold out long enough to start thriving instead of getting by the skin of my teeth

The studio I opened recently was only possible because of a program through City of Portland that included steeply discounted rent with utilities included.

Even with that, it's really hard right now doing that and paying my portion of rent at a house I share with two other roommates.

Hi all! Just offering a very gentle reminder that my GoFundMe is still open and right now I am trying to come up for the remaining $300 I need to pay September's rent for the studio BY THIS FRIDAY. Any support matters, even if it is sharing this

it feels difficult to ask for help, and admit that I have to slow down. but exercising reaching out and trusting in community care is so important in times like we’re experiencing. sending love,

Yeah its always the trade off and each time have to evaluate whether it math's out and kinda resent it. Why can't we have nap culture baked right into our everyday life? What if life essentials were actually affordable so we don't have to hustle so hard?? Thanks late stage capitalism.

Feeling really demoralized today. First Thursday was a bust and feeling uncertain about the future. Trying focus on printing some restock in the studio today. Having to dig deep to find my grit.

What the one or two things you do to keep your spirits up?

In better news-- while I don't have a table RCCC, I will be at my own BRICK AND MORTAR this weekend! I am hosting a monthly pop up of local artists on Saturday 12-5pm.

Hop the max to the downtown to 3rd and Morrison.

The music equipment is my partner's from which I get a cut from each sale. There is also a laptop, some guitar pedals, microphones and stands...

Still don't have access to business credit or loans. The one loan baron that my credit union looks at is still under 600 while everything else is well above.

I need to raise more money to cover my Geek Girl Con booth fee (first payment is due Sept 9)

Here's what's for sale (amps, markers, synth)

Good news-- I was accepted into Geek Girl Con & Market of the Beast.

Not so good news-- I need to scare up the funds to cover the booth fees.

One of the things I'm selling is my copic collection. 32markers, 33 25ml refills, some other related goodies for $350
