There is a free iPhone app called "Merlin" that kind of works like Shazam... but instead of identifying songs, it does bird calls. That squeaky chirp in my back yard is a Common Grackle. And apparently I'm descending further into Forest Witch Summer. LOL!

People who use generative AI for creative projects are MONSTERS. People who use AI for journalism are HACKS and not trustworthy.
Regarding AI: A book store where I recently spoke said they had tried to use an open source AI engine to help write bios for the last five authors appearing. In every case, AI added books that the author didn't write, as well as hobbies, family, and other facts that were untrue.

Is it possible to purchase an iMac that's 6 months old or whatever, so that it does NOT have the Apple AI?

Getting a refund on a product you bought and consumed is THEFT. Also, it totally messes up the stats and algorithms of indie authors.

returning a book you RENTED on Kindle Unlimited isn't 'asking for a refund' it's how you use the programme. you return every book. that's how it works.
returning on a book you BOUGHT on Kindle and asking for a refund because you wanted your money back for a book purchased is NOT THE SAME THING.

I'm really excited for this giant news (that I cannot tell you).
I'm not superstitious... but maybe *just* superstitious enough that I hope the paperwork is signed tomorrow so I can tell my family about it when we get together this weekend.
Don't want to jinx anything until signoff.
